Faux finishes are done with paints and glazes. They add dimension and richness to otherwise flat surfaces. Lazure color washes are one type of faux finishing that through its transparency has a very calming effect and are great for spas and therapeutic environments. Striping, marbleizing, and parchment finishes are other popular techniques that I have used successfully.

Wall patterns are better than wallpaper and comparable in price. There is no dealing with messy glue. No seams lifting and no damage to walls when it’s time for a change. There is an endless choice of paint colors and styles to suit any space.

Murals are subject paintings done directly on a surface. Instead of just hanging a painting or print on a wall, the painting is done directly on the wall or ceiling. This technique sets the theme of the room and tells a story. Trompe L’oile paintings appear as if the objects are real. Murals are for all ages and locations. They hold up well outside too!

Stencils are done with cut Mylar. The pattern can be repeated or placed in strategic places. I do design and cut stencils. I never use just one color when stenciling. I love the crisp lines and uniformity.

Free Hand Painting- Often instead of the high structure of a stencil I hand paint. This free form approach is truly “1…of a Kind.” I have worked with clients’ and decorators’ fabrics. Taking their designs and doing complimentary painting on walls, ceilings and furniture.
